Well those who know me know I am a total Longhorns nut, so needless to say I am disappointed with the outcome of today's game. I do have to give Ohio credit James Laurinatis is one big man not to mention an amazing player... Troy Smith by all means is a good OSU QB but by no means is he heisman candidate material.. Gibbs is another Ohio player that has extrodinary potential and is a key player for the buckeyes.
Now moving on to Texas, national champions, and one hell of a team in general. Yes, we suffered a major blow when we lost Vince Young to the NFL draft, but we DID NOT loose our whole Texas team. Contrary to what most believe (Although he was the heart of the team and Texas's star player) Young was not what made the Texas team. It was our opportunity to show that, but because of a red-shirt, inexperienced, freshman QB, and losing 2 key players in not only our offence but our defence cost us the game. I will tell you that Texas played sub-par to what they are capable of.
In closing~ Ohio is the #1 contender for the National Championship... If Texas wants to retain their title Mack Brown needs to step up the Texas defence and either replace the freshman QB or beat some sense into him.
