I reckon I take artificial nails off the hard way. Anyone have any suggestions? I tried just popping them off and soaking them in acetone. It gets the job done, but...... it's not the best solution. I figure there must be at least one person who has a better solution!
for this reason i hate artificial nails. acetone doesn't work, lol. i've done everything from removing the nail polish and cutting them down until they just fall off to trying to peel the off myself. Peeling them off removes some of your nail with the glue and leaves your nails flimsy and weak. And cutting them down just makes the nails look dumb. I would almost suggest going to a nail salon, they see to have no problems getting them off.
no clue, my nails are real lol, i've worn those before tho and i find their too uncomfortable, they don't feel normal, same with gel nails, iunno if you guys ever paid to get that done, but that also isn't that comfortable, i rather just have my natural nails long, which is what i do:) but any ppl i know that wear those, just pop them off lol.
you can buy oils and stuff that help prevent that, or just wear tough clear nail polish ontop of your nails if its permitted at work, i always have long nails and mine rarely break
Bleh. I have a friend who will sit there with a knife and pop them off... I freaked when I seen her lol But uhm.. usually the place you get them done at could do it for you. I usually just get a french tip mani on my regular nails if I need to go formal =/
I get acrylics all the time and they always get really long, then I stop going to get them done, so what I do is let them grow, then get a really skinny metal nail file and dig underneath starting in the middle and just shove the nail file underneath all the way across and they pop right off.. I always take nail with it, but there's no way to really avoid that "/
An equal solution of bleach/water works. Just be careful to make sure you aren't allergic to bleach and that you don't get it too strong. Also, soaking in lemon juice works. I can't garantee it will work 100% because everyone's nails are different. Those are a couple of solutions that friends of mine have tried and worked for them though. Good luck! BTW- Don't listen to the haters. I like fake nails simply because mine won't grow long and as pretty as they are. So, do whatever makes you feel good.
