The REP system for members

It's a system where the more forum post you do, the more rep potional you have. If you rep someone it gives them rep points. Your score is basicly something like a high five, and the more you get, the better. If you rep someone, you lose your temp rep score until you post more and build it up. You can also negitive rep someone and take theirs down if they make a bad post, or your mad at them. Also, you can't rep a person more than once withing a month so the system isn't cheatable. It's really addictive like tags were back in Bolt2.

I've seen that. I like it. I've seen it expressed as karma, which was novel and amusing. You get a praise button and a smite button.

So....what kind of boons would be cool for a person with a high rep? some minor moderation powers maybe? (of course half the fun of bolt is that its pretty much entirely unmoderated.)

Very true, Bolt has always been more of a member run site. That's what made it so hard when it went down. It was like a city without a mayor.

Bolt being a member run site is a good concept but fails.
It's like the consequence of anarchism, without a working government, the human race would END
