they wouldn't be such a major religion if they worshiped the moon....I mean....that would be pitiful, just like that other guy one day who was all serious about worshiping the sun....a...ball...of...gas...and...heat
hell most of Christianity evolved from Sun Worship. Most even worship on Sunday. =) Islam may have evolved from pagan moon worship, but I do not know this for sure, so don't quote me.
hmm...the jewish people have a star. the christian people have the sun. and islamic people have the moon. for whatever reason-the more time passes with that god, the closer to earth he comes...
Judaism was originally moon worship, too, so if Islam has to do with a moon god, it's really just returning to the roots of monotheism (which happen to grow in polytheist soil).
i mean yes origin of name ll come yahweh ( maybe not sure .... i know its coming from sumerian god ... enlil ) ..... but in islam muslims dont worship him as moon god ..... god is creator of universe .. he / she ( or whatelse ) hasnt got any shape .. he /she ( or whatelse ..... we prefer "it" ) free from time and space .. because "it" created this things ... soo it s not moon god ....... sorry for my english .. if its not clear ... .............. according to islam .... but u ll be right ... his / her name may be coming from old pagan god .....
