I prefer the Original, when the series was based around events that were going on around the world at the time.

Um, the Star Trek with the bald captain with the red suit. I can't remember the name specifically.

It's sad that I know that. My excuse: My dad and brother watched it all the time and I would watch it so I could stay up later.

Dont forget about Voyager and DS9 dangit.
As for TNG and ST, TNG is far better although it does appeal more to a technical mind than the original ST.
Just look where the Captains are these days Cpt Kirk is now advertising a kellogs branded breakfast cerial on UK television and Cpt Jean Luke is on Broadway.

The Original series. Captain James T. Kirk is just so much better that Jean-Luc Picard. Don't get me wrong Picard rules but he'll never be as cool as Kirk.

I kind of grew up on The Next Generation, so it holds a special place in my heart. My dad's a big fan of the original series. Has the entire run on VHS, including the unaired pilot!

I am an unashamed geek.

Umm, we are talking about the Star Trek movies right? I prefer the Original Series films, but then, I've only seen part of one of the Next Gen movies...
