Your Role at Bolt

Role Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) role at Bolt is the cornerstone of Bolt’s Sales team. You will work directly with senior level Sales members, who will teach you to seek new business opportunities by contacting potential customers and selling them on the value of Bolt. As a BDR, you are a driving force for the company by boosting sales and contributing to the long-term business growth.

To be successful as a BDR, you should be a self-starter with a positive outlook. Success is dependent on working hard, but being thoughtful, creative and research-oriented will get you ahead. No direct experience is required and new graduates and industry changers are urged to apply! 

For context, we have an established BDR team that sits in Salt Lake City, Utah, and are extending that team to SF by hiring our first couple of BDRs in our SF headquarters. With the support of our SLC and SF management, you’ll be able to grow quickly within the company by becoming a Team Lead, Account Executive, or be promoted onto a different team.

  • Generate new pipeline for Sales Reps through prospect engagements (cold calling, email outreach, inbound lead management, networking, etc.)
  • Have a hunter mentality in identifying new potential opportunities across net new and existing leads and contacts
  • Create a great first impression to our prospects by inspiring them to learn how Bolt can benefit their business
  • Stay organized and manage your time effectively in order to complete your daily goals -  know that sales is a numbers game and you’re here to win!
  • Track your data and report your weekly sales results to your peers and manager 
  • Learn from our top tier Sales team so that you can get promoted quickly

What Would Set You Apart

  • BDR/SDR experience from a B2B company
  • Sales background with a proven record of exceeding quota
  • Experience with cold outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc. 
  • Have used Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom Video, ZoomInfo, and/or Gong
  • Competitor with a need to win
  • Affinity for problem solving
