Free shipping is a powerful motivator for people to complete their purchases:
- 43% of customers call out free shipping as the most important quality of a checkout experience
- 28% of shoppers said shipping & tax fees were the main reason why they abandoned their shopping cart.
Consider how to make free shipping possible without breaking your business model. This could include offering free shipping at certain cart dollar thresholds or including free shipping but marking up your costs to pay for it.
Online shoppers care about security
While free shipping is important, shoppers still cited security (35%) as an important part of their checkout experience. Your shoppers want frictionless buying but also want to know that these transactions are secure.
You don’t have to handle security, speedy checkout and payment yourself though, as solutions like Bolt provide secure, fast checkout with a variety of payment options.
Faster and easier checkout wins
Stop leaving money on the table with a slow, arduous checkout. 1 in 2 people said they definitively prefer one-click checkout. 32% of customers simply change their minds and don’t complete a checkout. Having a fast, smooth checkout can help mitigate against the undecided.
