Although Bolt began in California, we’ve known from our earliest days that we’d expand internationally. People all over the world shop online and are hungry for a better, more magical checkout experience. I’m excited to announce that the day has come — we’ve partnered with PrestaShop and LVMH brand Benefit Cosmetics to expand into Europe!
Benefit Cosmetics shoppers in the UK, France, and Germany, and PrestaShop shoppers in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal will now be able to enjoy Bolt’s one-click checkout experience. Our interface will automatically adopt each shopper’s preferred language and currency. It’s the same, seamless Bolt experience, but now we’re multilingual.
These partnerships are hopefully the first step toward a broader global presence. But it’s also a boon to Benefit Cosmetics and PrestaShop, allowing them to reach new audiences through our merchant network, convert one-time guest shoppers into loyal customers, and build trust and loyalty among customers in multiple international markets. It’s really a win-win.
This new initiative is all part of our quest to provide the ultimate checkout experience worldwide — to offer merchants and customers the best of the best, and make ecommerce easier from every angle. Each time we take on a new challenge, it pushes us to take our functionality to the next level.
In addition to translating the Bolt experience end-to-end for our European customers, we’ve also added functions that localize address fields and create a single customer identity to use on any platform in our network.
